From this, the risks associated with insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular diseases and other common illnesses of modern civilization are reduced.
Saturated fatty acids are integral to the solidity and integrity of our cell membranes and bones, enhance our immune system and protect our liver from toxins like alcohol. I´ll talk more about the lipid hypothesis in a later blog.
